I use Snazaroo, Wolfe, Grimas, Fardel and Paradise products, but as with all face painting products, I cannot guarantee a skin reaction will not occur. If a child has sensitive skin or is prone to allergies, I will not paint their face. However, a patch test can be done on the inside of their arm and left for 30 mins. If there is no reaction, I can paint their face, however if a reaction should occur, I will not be able to paint.
All paints are all water based and should wash off easily with water and a cloth. Sometimes a small residue will remain which is easily removed with soap and water.
I will not paint a child who appears to be ill or who has chicken pox, measles, mumps, conjunctivitis, any infectious skin condition or eczema or who has a runny nose.
If necessary I may request the parent/guardian to clean the child’s face with a wipe before I paint their face. Sadly, painted crumbs do not look pretty or hygienic and do not mix with face paint.
Annie’s Funny Faces are covered by liability insurance of £5,000,000 through FACE, The Face Painting Association.
Annie’s Funny Faces are not liable for any allergic reactions to the face paints. All products used by Annie’s Funny Faces comply with EC and US standards for cosmetics. All are either FDA compliant or are approved by the FDA.
Annie’s Funny Faces will be as careful as possible when painting; however, arms and jumper sleeves do tend to be rubbed against children’s faces, which can leave a residue of face paint on the child’s clothing. Face paints can be removed from clothes using cold water and soap.
Annie’s Funny Faces will cease face painting immediately should a child wish to stop.
Annie's Funny Faces will not paint any child who clearly indicates they do not wish to be painted. Despite any parent's request, we will not paint against the wishes of the child. Face Painting should be a fun experience for children and adults alike.
Annie's Funny Faces will not paint any child under the age of 3 years as some products are not suitable for use on under 3's and skin is still very young.
